BSD Welcome Center Fall Update

The Bellevue School District is excited to share an update on the development of the new BSD Welcome Center — a project made possible through the district’s capital funds! The Welcome Center is intended to be more than just a building; it's a vital part of our strategic plan. It is designed to warmly welcome families to our district, bring a more human-centered approach to our enrollment process and foster a stronger sense of belonging and support our community in navigating through the education system. A team made up of community members, staff and parent leaders representing our diverse community is helping to guide the design of the Welcome Center. This collaborative approach helps to create a space that reflects our community's needs and values. 

The BSD Welcome Center will be located at Educational Service Center (ESC) West, where remodeling is currently underway. The remodeling work focuses on improving accessibility and safety. The design will help to create a warm, inviting environment that fosters a sense of belonging and enhances efficiency to streamline services. A soft opening of the Welcome Center is expected later this winter as the district prepares to support the enrollment process for the 2025-2026 school year.
